Walking tour of Anacortez, WA

After visiting friends in Springfield, we decide to skip some of Oregon and go to my favorite place in the US, Whidbey Island. After staying at the Tulalip Casino with their great free parking for a night, and then the Swinomish Casino in Anacortez for a night, our parking place finally becomes available and we can move onto Whidbey Island. All this moving has made me hungry, and a great place for a bite to eat is the Rock Fish Grill on Anacortez.

After dinner, rain or shine, we take a brief walk around the old part of Anacortez, which has great wall murals to boot:

A few more blocks and we find this interesting clock and restaurant, which we promise ourselves to try - perhaps on our next visit.

Next we come across Causland Park, which is beautifully landscaped with amazing rock work.

and finally, a Carnegie Library, currently a museum. Anacortez has not only breathtaking views, but shows the influence of a robust artistic community.
