Salmon Bake at Pioneer Park, Fairbanks

From Salmon Bake & Pioneer Park
After our long drive and getting set up in the River's Edge Park, it's nice for the group to come together at Pioneer Park, where every night they have a salmon bake, along with many, many other types of food. At least no one had to cook tonight!

I omitted the couple of pictures I took of the group seated eating, as they were unflattering to all! Here are a few pictures of this immense park:

You may have noticed the difference in dress various people were wearing. We learned back in the Yukon, that when the spring equinox hits, the winter stuff gets put away, and the shorts, t-shirts, and scandals come out, rain or shine. We wimps from the lower 48 are the ones bundled up in sweaters and jackets!

These following pictures are a combination of pictures taken at Pioneer Park over a two day period. Here Bob took pictures of the many interesting museums the park offers.
