Walking Around Missoula, MT

From Walking around Missoula
After the market, we take a short walk. Rather than taking photos of buildings, I wanted to share some of the lessor associated things we find in this university city.

When is the last time you saw a Jeep Commando of this vintage?

Yes, Missoula is the home of the book, followed by the film of A River Runs Through It. The film version did more for Missoula than any prior effort of putting the town on the map, both for tourists and new residents. Here, the local kids take advantage of a hot summer day, floating down the Clark Fork River.

Apparently the kids forgot how to read over the summer break. The bridge clarly had a sign reading: No Jumping from the Bridge!

This tree catches my attention because it smells so sweet. I don't recognize it at all. Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?

I just love the way local artists took care of the ugly electrical boxes. The city is strewn with these painted boxes.
