Revisiting NY & the Adirondacks

From Revisiting NY & the Adirondacks

Any day that starts with a ferry ride is going to be a great day. Here we are departing at Bell Hill Road on Grand Isle leaving for Plattsburgh NY for a drive back into the Adirondacks.

Here are some views on the water on this very hazy but calm day. It takes about an hour to drive to High Falls Gorge. Here we take the short hike along the paths and see the views the gorge provides.

Having finished our hike, we take a drive over to the Whiteface Mountain Ski Area and take a couple of pictures.

Now we drive over to Lake Placid, where two prior Winter Olympic Games have been held. The town is so busy I get only one poor picture of the town itself and the lake.
